MOD Lacquer Powdered Confection Collection12:46 PM
Hello my fellow nail crazies!
This week has only just started and it already feels long, but I'm pretty sure that's because my husband goes on vacation starting Friday so the anticipation is killing me! haha It is also hot as heck here, I'm sweltering right now haha!
Anywho, Today I have some swatches and reviews for an indie I have just recently started ordering from. MOD Lacquer. And man am I glad I did! So far every polish I have purchased I have fell inlove with! Today I have the "Powdered Confection" Collection. Usually when writing a review I write separate reviews for each but all 4 polishes in this collection had the exact same formula, consistency and application so I'm just going to bulk main info together.
The formula was good with these polishes, all the small glitters made the polish a bit thick but if you apply it with a light hand it applies great. I loved every one of the color combinations and the names fit them perfectly. They all definitely reminded me of some yummy baked goods with sugary sweet frosting's!
First up is Pink Tart. Pink Tart is a shimmering light pink crelly with small pink and white glitters.
I used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat.
Second is Minty Kiss. Minty Kiss is a shimmering pastel green crelly with green and white glitters. I used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat.
Next is Blueberry Bliss. Blueberry Kiss is a shimmering baby blue crelly with blue and white glitters. I used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat.
Last up Blackberry Cream. Blackberry Cream is a shimmering lavender crelly with purple and white glitters. I used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat.
I did a "Sweet" mani using all 4 of these polishes! Got the idea for this mani from @kaylasavage_
Overall I give the collection a 4 out of 5 stars. I do wish the formula wasn't as thick but again, as long as you apply it with a light hand(which I struggle to do lol) then it applies easily. And most crellys that contain a lot of small glitters have the same consistency. You can get this entire collection in full size for $28.50 or in mini collection form for $12.00. You can also buy them separately for $9.50 full size or $4.00 mini. She has a 4th of July sale starting the 4th to the 6th for 20% off! So set your alarms and get your hands on these sweet polishes!
Until next time!
Please note that all polishes in this review were purchased by me and I was not asked by MOD Lacquer to review their polishes.
