Digit-al Dozen | December | Day 4
Nothing to Disclose
Hey there loves! Today is Day 4 of Digit-al Dozen 'December' and for today's mani I decided to do a mani inspired by my all time favorite childhood Christmas movie, the 1974 Rankin-Bass 'The Year Without a Santa Claus'. Now I don't know about you, but I grew up watching all of the Rankin-Bass stop-motion animation Holiday specials and know each and everyone by heart. 30 years old, with no kids and I still watch them every year like I'm 5 years old! haha! I actually own them all on DVD lol. Anyways, here is my mani!
I free hand painted the Heat Miser and The Snow Miser on my middle and ring nails and then did the chevrons on my index and pinky finger using vinyls. I haven't really had the drive nor inspiration to do free hand as much this past year due to the numerous times of not feeling well and my packed swatch schedule but I just had to get some freehand Christmas art in, since that is where my true nail passion lies.
It felt really good to do but I shook like crazy which made it quite difficult and my hands did not want to cooperate at all. I think I am definitely out of practice. Because of this I am on a mission to try and do at least one freehand nail art mani a week! I need to try and retrain my hand to paint little things again lol SO here's to hoping I'm able to stick to it!!

ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful freehanding, as always! I don't know the movie, but I recognise the style from other animations I used to watch and can therefore tell you that you nailed it! ;)
