40 Great Nail Art Ideas | Hobby

Nothing to Disclose
Happy Friday All!! Today I have my first "Halloween" inspired mani for the month and I did this for the new "40 Great Nail Art Ideas" Challenge created by the maker of the "Crumpets Nail Tarts-52 Week Challenge" This new challenge group is in my opinion more fun and we all socailize more in it so if you regurally post nail art on your blog I highly suggest you request to join!

Anyways, today's prompt is "Hobby". Of course my number one hobby is anything nail art and nail polish but I felt like that was kind of hitting the nail on the head obvious and that a lot of other ladies would pick that so since I wanted all my art this month to be Halloween related I decided on creating something on one of my other hobby's aka obsessions!

The husband and I are obsessed with the movie the Nightmare Before Christmas. Hubs is so obsessed he has a giant back piece tattoo of the town and characters that I'm totally jealous of! haha! Well one of our hobbies is collecting all things Nightmare Before Christmas related (toys, bobble heads, clothing, bedding ect. you name it, we most likely have it!) SO my mani today is a "Pond Mani" that is All about Jack Skellington!

For a very long time I have been wanting to try a pond mani but never really had the inspiration to do so because I didn't want to do just regular dots or flowers like I've seen so many beautifully create. And this morning my sweet Jack Skellington Pajama pants gave me that inspiration I needed!

Now is it just me or does my pj's have that same "Pond Mani" look?! Well I thought so and I went on the very long 4 hour session of doing a pond mani with Jack Skellington faces! I hope I pulled it off!?

I am so happy with this mani and am glad I didn't use my peel off base coat so that I could keep it on all weekend! I also wanted to give Jack a fun accent nail so I hand painted him with his spooky smile and sweet bat bow tie! haha I did a cool purple, black and white smokey base behind him using the saran wrap technique which recently I have had way too much fun doing!(you'll see more in the next week or so! haha)

I know I usually do a video tutorial but guys there was no way my battery was going to last long enough for this mani not to mention the rediculous positions I had to put my hand in to paint them would have just made the video crazy with my hand out of shot half the time! haha So I did a pictorial for ya guys! Better then nothing I guess right?
